The Audubon Bird Call is a sweet and beautifully crafted item,connecting people with nature in a delightful way. This simple butperfectly tuned bird call can be kept in the pocket and taken onevery adventure or outing, tocall or ‘talk to’ birds.

Each bird call comes in a presentation box. Sturdy cast zinc and solid birch construction. Rosin (pine resin) capsule included to maintain the calls distinctive chirp. If the birdcall gets damp or wet, make sure to dry it out fully before theresin is re-applied.

WARNING If gifting this item to small children, please note the small capsule of pine resin powder (rosin) and advise parents to store it for safe keeping, to avoid accidental swallowing.

The bird call’s sound is produced by rotating the wooden cylinder against the cast zinc plug. By varying the pressure between the two surfaces while twisting back and forth, a variety of bird sounds can be accurately imitated. Originally conceived by songbird hunters in Europe, the bird call attracts birds by creating the illusion that other birds are in the area.
